About this Song
Silent Sanctuary, a Filipino rock band formed in Metro Manila in 2001, is known for its "Rockestra" sound, which integrates classical instruments like cello and violin into rock music. This distinctive style was established early in the band's history with the addition of cellist Anjo Inacay, followed by violist Jett Ramirez and violinist Chino David. The band has released five studio albums, including their independently produced debut, *Ellipsis of the Mind* (2004), and subsequent Universal Records releases such as *Fuchsiang Pag-ibig* (2007), *Mistaken for Granted* (2009), *Monodramatic* (2013), and *Langit. Luha.* (2015). Silent Sanctuary's music, including the song "Hiling," has resonated widely, particularly among high school and college students, and has been featured in various local movie and TV series soundtracks. The band has also engaged in collaborations with artists like Aia De Leon and Jennylyn Mercado.
