About this Song
Silent Sanctuary, a rock band from Metro Manila, Philippines, formed in 2001, delivers a distinctive "Rockestra" sound by integrating classical instruments like cello and violin into their rock music. This unique approach was solidified with the addition of cellist Anjo Inacay, followed by violist Jett Ramirez and violinist Chino David, joining founding members Norman Dellosa (vocals, guitars), Paolo Legaspi (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Allen Calixto (drums). The band has released five studio albums, beginning with the independently produced *Ellipsis of the Mind* in 2004. After Norman Dellosa's departure, Sarkie Sarangay took over vocal duties, and Jason Rondero became the new bassist. Their second album, *Fuchsiang Pag-ibig*, released in 2007 under Universal Records, featured notable songs such as "Ikaw Lamang," "Kundiman," and "14." Silent Sanctuary continued to release albums, including *Mistaken for Granted* (2009), *Monodramatic* (2013), and *Langit. Luha.* (2015).
