About this Song
Nateman builds all his creative work from the vibrant, boundary-pushing creative landscape of the Philippines, channeling the unfiltered, independent spirit of local creators who move outside pre-defined genre boxes to shape work that feels entirely their own. His sound DOWN KA BA? (feat. Steezy) leans into that same ethos of rejecting rigid categorization, existing outside the standard frameworks that often box creative work into narrow, limiting labels that fail to capture the full scope of what an artist can build when they follow their own uncompromised vision. Every choice that goes into shaping this sound aligns with Nateman’s commitment to creating work that cannot be reduced to a single, pre-existing category, work that stands on its own as a reflection of the unique creative space he occupies within his local scene and the wider community of Filipino artists making work that defies expectation.
