About this Song
Katy Perry, born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, initially pursued gospel music, releasing her debut album, *Katy Hudson*, in 2001 before adopting her mother's maiden name for her stage persona. After signing with Capitol Records in 2007, her breakthrough came with the 2008 pop-rock album *One of the Boys*, which sold seven million copies worldwide. Subsequent albums like 2010's *Teenage Dream* and 2013's *Prism* cemented her status as a global pop artist. Perry's later works, including *Witness* (2017), *Smile* (2020), and *143* (2024), have explored different stylistic directions. The recording "Thinking Of You" from Indonesia reflects Perry's established presence in the pop music landscape.
