Filipino rapper, singer, and songwriter Gloc-9 is known for his fast-flowing "chopper" vocal style and for addressing social issues such as injustice, poverty, and patriotism in his songs. Considered a trailblazer in Pinoy Hip-Hop, he began his musical career in the 1990s with the gangsta rap group Death Threat. After releasing his debut solo album, *G9*, in 2003, Gloc-9 followed up with the more R&B-inflected *Ako Si...* in 2005. His 2007 album, *Diploma*, incorporated nu-metal-esque elements in tracks like "The Task Is Done" and "Torpedo." Gloc-9's albums *MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata* (2012) and *Liham at Lihim* (2013) have both been certified by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. He has won over 60 awards throughout his 25-year career, including the Sudi National Music Award. "Walang Natira" features Sheng Belmonte.
