About this Song
The Philippines’ vibrant, multifaceted music landscape has long celebrated homegrown artists who blend global genre sensibilities with distinctly local identity, and 约翰·罗亚—known professionally as John Roa or JRoa, born John Neil Torrente Roa in Cebu City in 2000—emerged as one of the country’s most compelling cross-genre performers, building a career that spans group work, solo output, acting, and collaborative projects across decades of national attention. He demonstrated an interest in music from early childhood, performing publicly long before he signed to a major label, and first rose to wider recognition through a string of national televised talent competitions that showcased his vocal skill to audiences across the archipelago.
