About this Song
Difarina Indra and Fendik Adella bring their aligned artistic priorities to the recording they create together, rooted in the vast, diverse cultural landscape of Indonesia, a country whose long history of creative musical expression spans hundreds of distinct regional traditions and contemporary approaches, all of which feed into the wide range of work produced by artists based across the archipelago. Their collaborative work on Cinta Dari Seberang fits into a broad, flexible category of creative output categorized as Music/Other, a framing that rejects the narrow, restrictive genre boxes that often force recordings to conform to pre-defined expectations, rather than allowing the full scope of an artist’s creative vision to take center stage.
